Project Overview
In this Manifesto Project, I designed a multi-page typographic booklet using a whimsical, unconventional text. Working with one primary body font, limited colors, and an inventive binding structure, I explored how alignment, scale, and placement guide a reader through content. I focused on breaking the text into readable sections, using type as both communication and visual expression. Through experimentation with hierarchy, color, and typographic elements as imagery, the final piece aims to create a cohesive, engaging narrative that reflects the playful tone of the provided text.
Some Final Spreads
Learnings
Through this project, I gained a stronger understanding of hierarchy and placement, especially in how they guide a reader’s eye through a multi-page design. I also learned to think in terms of spreads rather than individual pages, which helped me build a more connected and cohesive system for my book. By designing with continuity in mind, I incorporated elements that flow across multiple pages and even across spreads, making the overall layout more engaging and visually unified.
